Question 1

How much does commercial concrete flooring cost in Nottingham?

Accepted Answer

The cost of commercial concrete flooring depends on the floor area, the condition of the existing slab, the finish you choose (polished concrete, power-floated, epoxy resin or screed), and any preparation or repair work needed before the finish goes down. As a guide, a straightforward polished or power-floated concrete finish is one of the most cost-effective commercial floor options, while resin systems and decorative finishes cost more. We provide a fixed, no-obligation quote after assessing the site and the intended use of the space — we do not quote a single price per square metre without seeing the job, because the specification changes the price.

Question 2

How long does a commercial concrete floor take to install?

Accepted Answer

Installation time depends on the area, the system and the condition of the substrate. A power-floated concrete slab needs curing time before it can take traffic, while a polished finish is a multi-stage grinding process. Resin and screed systems also need curing time before the floor can be used. For most commercial projects we plan the programme around your downtime — we will give you a realistic timescale, including curing, when we quote.

Question 3

Can you repair a cracked concrete floor instead of replacing it?

Accepted Answer

Often, yes. Cracks, broken joints, spalling and surface wear can usually be repaired and the slab restored to a serviceable condition at a fraction of the cost of a new floor. The key is identifying the cause — load, moisture, impact or age — before specifying the repair, so the fix lasts rather than just covering the symptom. We assess the slab and tell you honestly whether repair or replacement is the better option.

Question 4

What is the difference between polished concrete and epoxy resin flooring?

Accepted Answer

Polished concrete is the existing concrete slab, mechanically ground and refined to a hard, smooth, reflective finish — it uses the slab itself. Epoxy resin is a liquid coating applied over a prepared concrete substrate that cures to a seamless, chemical-resistant surface. Polished concrete suits showrooms, warehouses and retail; epoxy resin suits garages, kitchens, cleanrooms and areas where chemical resistance and a seamless finish matter. We help you choose based on the use of the space.

Question 5

Do you work across the whole of Nottinghamshire?

Accepted Answer

We cover Nottingham and the wider Nottinghamshire area, including Beeston, Arnold, West Bridgford, Hucknall, Worksop, Mansfield and Newark-on-Trent. If your site is outside these areas, contact us and we will let you know whether we can help.

Question 6

How do I get a quote for my commercial flooring project?

Accepted Answer

The quickest way is to call us or use the free quote form on this site. Tell us the type of premises, the approximate floor area, the intended use and any issues with the existing floor. We will come back to you — usually within one working day — to discuss the project and arrange a site visit if needed, then provide a no-obligation quote.

Question 7

Will the floor handle forklift traffic and heavy racking?

Accepted Answer

Industrial and warehouse flooring is specified for exactly this. We use high-strength concrete and power-floated finishes rated for forklift traffic and racking point loads, with joints planned around the travel paths and racking layout to control cracking. The specification is matched to the actual load profile of the space — tell us what the floor needs to carry and we specify accordingly.
